Works great on Canon HG20

The video quality with this lens is great! It rarely comes off from my Canon HG20. The focus works throughout the entire zoom range on this particular camera. Worth the money. Metal body and glass lenses. Has 62mm front thread, but I haven't tried adding any filters. Fits a 37mm camera mount directly, and comes with adapters for other sizes.

This is a useful lens for capturing action in small rooms, where you can't pull back far enough to include everything in the shot. Also, it's good for P.o.V. angles when shooting training footage or or documentaries.This lens performs much better than the sub-$40 cheapie I picked up a year ago. Sometimes, depending on the lighting, I need to zoom in slightly to rid the frame of vignetting in the corners. CAUTION: Zooming in further will cause loss of color and clarity. Plan to stay on wide-angle, or remove the lens when you want to actively zoom to follow action.
