Product Description
The NEW ROKINON 8mm FISHEYE T3.8 Lens is our first lens designed primarily for videographers. Using the same high quality optics as the extremely popular 8mm F/3.5 Fisheye lens, this cine lens has a continual de-clicked aperture range from 3.8-22 making it optimal for shooting video. The ROKINON 8mm cine lens is designed for digital SLR cameras with APS-C image sensors. For these types of cameras, it provides full-frame coverage - which means that pictures will cover the entire frame. It is also compatible with cameras that have a full-frame sensor. For cameras with full-frame sensors, the lens will produce pictures with a semi-circular image and close images will appear proportionately large for a dramatic effect. The ROKINON 8mm lens creates images with an expanded and exaggerated perspective and an extremely wide 180° angle of view.

Cine is nice
By Jared Prindle
The de-clicked aperture works nicely. The focus is smooth but almost unneeded with a fish like this. The lens is very soft wide open but quickly sharpens once stopped down even a little bit. A great buy at this price and I'll likely buy some of the other Rokinon cine lenses in the future.

Wonderful Lens.
By Matthew L Seelert
I use this lens on a Canon T3i. It works great for what it is(the fisheye effect gets pretty boring after a while). After weeks of watching it, I found one on ebay for $215 shipped. Both the focus and aperture rings adjust smoothly but the focus is pretty much pointless since fisheyes' are designed to take massively wide/distorted images. Optically, it functions exactly like the standard/clicked aperture version, I uploaded 2 images I took with this lens, but if you want more examples of how your photos will turn out go check the examples on the FE8M-C. The viewing angle is extremely wide (167 degrees on Canon, 180 on all other mounts) - I still get my fingers in the corners of photos regularly. The lens is full manual, but doesn't take much time to get comfortable with.I gave it 4 stars because the built in hood on the lens obstructs the built in flash on my camera (the FE8M-C has the same hood, the HD8M-C has a removable hood and doesn't obstruct the flash) and the images could be a tad bit sharper.Overall, if you want a fisheye for both still images and video this will work wonderfully. If you want to save money you will probably be fine with the "clicked" version even for video.

Nice lens... not great on full-frame
By Jason
Since the lens hood is not removable, it crops images on my 5D Mark III. Otherwise, the lens is nice on my 7D.
