Although the product says it is compatable with Canon EF lenses it is NOT compatable with the EFS series lenses. The infromation on the Vivitar site is poor and leaves that information gap when I was trying to do my homework. Luckily I had a conversation with the store that I bought it from to help me achieve my goal. I ended up keeping the 2X teleconverter and purchasing a Tamron lense that I can use with the 2X.
