Good lens for small camcorders, works well with my sony xr160.

This is a good lens for small camcorders. I rarely take it off my camcorder and I use it for all my shots. It allows you to get a large view of your subject and surroundings. I'm so used to it now that when I take it off my camcorder the picture doesn't look right - with it you get a professional feel to your shots and without it it looks like home movies. Would recommend to anyone who wants a nice pro quality to anything they shoot.

I recently purchased the Vivitar Hi-def wide-angle lens. Shot my granddaughter's first dance recital from about 40 yds away from an auditorium balcony. It zoomed in very well and you can see every detail as if I were in the front row. It did take a few moments to focus with the camcorders auto focus. I then tried it on manual focus and it worked very well. All-in-all nice lens at a good price, would recommend.
