Great consumer Tele Lens at low cost, you get what u paid for,i bought for bird shooting, I staying in a ground floor of a 10-15 meter (roughly) story Apertment house's, the back yard is a public garden with flower & plant grown by my neigbour which attracts birds, the parameter is about 400 square feet and about 5 meter distant width from my back door to the fence, in between this distance there are plant, flower and small bushes,i having many lenses with the longest 200mm which i found too shot for bird shooting,i always dream of a longer lens which can serve the purpose, finally i got this 500mm Lens due to my tight budget, dont expect too much from this lens, it quiet difficult to nail the focus , but if you sucessfully got one , it still useable for small print, dont expect to much and it is fun to use and take more time to get used to it, what i can say is this lens is a " Time killer" , prepare to loose bird flying away before snap one and be positive! Oh ya, almost forget this , always push up the iSO to as high as your camera allow before the noise spoilt the picture, my D5100 allow me to jack up to 6400 iso , shutter speed better higher than 1/500 and above if there are enuf bright available.
